RSV-5922C – Reserve Series Sixteen Gun Fireproof Gun Safe

The RSV-5922C fireproof gun safe is the smallest of the Hollon Reserve series of fireproof gun safes having a long gun capacity of 16 rifles. Unlike the more expensive PRO RG-16 Republic Series gun safe the RSV-5922C does not come with a pocket door organizer. The quoted gun capacity of 16 rifles will vary and is dependent upon the size of the rifles and accessories.

The safe is Torch Resistant Fire Rated for one-hour fireproof protection at 1250 degrees Fahrenheit. To ensure weapons secured in the RG-16 gun safe are protected from water and smoke damage in the event of a fire the safe door has a heat activated intumescent door seal designed to seal out smoke and water.

Fireproofing in the 1.25” thick body of the safe consists of two layers of fireboard one inch thick while the 5” thick door has three layers of fireboard 1.5” thick. Burglary protection comes by way of the design and steel used in the construction of these high quality fireproof gun safes. The body and door of the gun safe is constructed of 10-gauge seamless steel with the door having a drill/ballistic armored hard plate to protect the lock.

The RSV-5922C has seven (7) active steel 1” locking bolts and three (3) 1” fixed locking bolts on the hinged side. All the locking bolts are chrome plated solid steel. To prevent punch attacks the RG16 has an active spring-loaded re-locker.

External hinges allow full 180 degree door opening and removal of the gun safe door for maintenance or repair. Pre-drilled anchor holes allow the 350 lb (unloaded weight) gun safe to be bolted into position making it impossible for thieves to make off with the safe.

The interior of the RSV-5922C gun safe has four removable shelves - three small adjustable shelves and one full length adjustable shelf, a removable gun rack and finished in a soft plush grey trim.

The design of this fireproof gun safe far exceeds California Department of Justice Regulatory Standards for Residential Security Containers and is well priced for a safe of this design and construction.
